The reviews are in! Nu Civilisation Orchestra once again partnered with dance company Clod Ensemble for a reprise of their performance of Charles Mingus’ magnum opus Black Saint and the Sinner Lady for three nights in the Barbican Theatre from 19^th to 21^st of September.

This ground-breaking production saw the Barbican Theatre transformed into a vibrant cabaret venue with the audience joining the musicians and professional dancers on stage and being asked to join the party!

The shows received incredible reviews, with The Stage giving it four stars and describing the evening as “Joyous… a tonic for the soul!”

Author, broadcaster, and BBC Radio London presenter Robert Elms said “It was incredible. The whole dance floor was full. The professional dancers were brilliant. If they do it again, or anything like it, go! I could not recommend it highly enough. It was a fantastic Friday night out.”
